Rape
This is the unlawful sexual act
with a person without his/her consent. Usually
this act is committed by force, fear or threat
of injury to the person. The most common types
of rape are as follows:
Date rape - Rape committed by someone who is
commonly known to the victim. This person
typically is the victim’s social companion.
Spousal rape - Sexual intercourse with ones
spouse by force, fear, and/or threat of injury,
without the consent of the victim.
Statutory rape - this is the unlawful sexual
intercourse with a person under the age of
consent. This act can be charged regardless of
whether it is committed against the victims will
or not.
